For a long while, Pakistan's hostel scene was scarce. Travelers were coming, but there were few cheap (and clean) options for foreign travelers. Hostels in Pakistan were not really a thing. Yet.

We're travelers ourselves, so naturally we wanted to fill the gap. We always talked about opening a hostel or two in Pakistan, but it was just a far-fetched idea. A "one day" kind of dream.

Then, at the end of 2023, we had a chance to rent a home in a safe area of Islamabad for a reasonable price. We're impulsive. We went for it.

We brought in painters, carpenters, welders and more. We spent more time in the markets than in our own beds. After a lot of banging, screeching, swearing, and a whole lot of magic, we converted a tired house into a hostel in the span of 2 weeks.

And, after just a handful of strategic horn tooting on social media… the hostel was full. Word of mouth is a powerful tool!

We took our success and kept rolling, starting construction on a new hostel in the peaceful, mountainous Ishkoman Valley. Not many people know about the place, but that's one of the reasons we love it; it still feels like a secret escape, as opposed to other more touristed mountain destinations.

These days, we have 2 locations, Islamabad and Ishkoman. Both are magical for their own reasons, both are havens for travelers of all kinds. Coyote Den Hostels are those kinds of places where people come to sleep for a day… and end up staying for weeks.

Come and find out for yourself!
